On June 6th, 2017, at our annual spring benefit at The New York Botanical Garden, the Poetry Society of America will honor JACQUELINE WOODSON, the Young People's Poet Laureate, and the author of more than two dozen award-winning books for adults, young adults, middle graders and children.
The New York Botanical Garden is one of New York's most magical places, and the evening will include music and cocktails in the conservatory and a private viewing of their highly anticipated spring exhibit, CHIHULY.
Benefit Chairs Michael A. Boyd and Judith Woodard invite you to join lovers of poetry from near and far for an incandescent evening of botanical splendor, artistic revelation, memorable entertainment, superb culinary fare, marvelous champagne, and bountiful conversation, all to celebrate our honoree and the myriad ways we bring poetry to the crossroads of American life.
All proceeds benefit the PSA's programs including Poetry in Motion which places poems on subways and buses throughout the country.
