Dara Barrois/Dixon’s books include Extremely Expensive Mystical Experiences for Astronauts; Tolstoy Killed Anna Karenina; in the still of the night; You Good Thing, a 2013 Believer Readers’ Choice Award-winner; the book-length poem Reverse Rapture, named the Poetry Center’s 2006 Book of the Year by Stephen Rodefer; Voyages in English; and chapbooks from Song Cave, Rain Taxi, Scram, Incessant Pipe, Press Brake, and others. Her work has been supported by the Lannan Foundation, Guggenheim Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and Massachusetts Cultural Council. She is publisher of factory hollow press, where she also serves as an editor; an Amherst Public Arts commissioner; and a Flow Chart Foundation board member. She lives and works in North Amherst, Massachusetts. She’s previously published as Dara Wier.
John Yau is an award-winning poet and art critic who has been publishing art criticism since 1978. His recent books of poetry include Diary of Small Discontents: New & Selected Poems 1974-2024 and Tell It Slant. Recent books of essays and monographs include Eric Aho; Please Wait by the Coatroom: Reconsidering Race and Identity in American Art; and Joe Brainard: The Art of the Personal. Yau’s honors and awards include the Jackson Poetry Prize, Rabkin Prize for Arts Writing, and an American Book Award.
