Farid Matuk is the author of the poetry collections Moon Mirrored Indivisible (University of Chicago Press, 2025); The Real Horse (University of Arizona Press, 2018); This Isa Nice Neighborhood (Letter Machine Editions, 2010); of the book-arts project Redolent (Singing Saw Press, 2021); and of several chapbooks including My Daughter La Chola (Ahsahta Press, 2013). Redolent, made in collaboration with artist Nancy Friedemann-Sánchez, received the 2023 Anna Rabinowitz Prize from the Poetry Society of America. Matuk is also the translator from the Spanish of The Hormone of Darkness: A Playlist (Graywolf Press, 2024) by the Peruvian poet Tilsa Otta and the co-translator of Juan Felipe Herrera's Akrílica (Noemi Press, 2022). Matuk’s work has been supported by residencies from the Headlands Center for the Arts, a visiting Holloway Lectureship in the Practice of Poetry at UC Berkeley, and a 2024 USA Fellowship from United States Artists. Elizabeth Willis is the author of eight books of poetry, most recently Liontaming in America (New Directions, 2024), which was longlisted for the National Book Award. Her previous collection Alive: New and Selected Poems (New York Review Books, 2014) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Other books include Address (Wesleyan, 2011); Meteoric Flowers (Wesleyan, 2008); Turneresque (Burning Deck, 2004); The Human Abstract (Penguin, 1994); Second Law (Avenue B, 1993). She teaches at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
