Celebrated critic A. O. Scott discusses the landmark poetry of the twentieth-century British-American modernist W. H. Auden. A fifteen-minute Q&A will follow Scott’s lecture.

A.O. Scott is critic-at-large at The New York Times Book Review, where he writes a popular interactive feature on short poems and hosts the annual Poetry Challenge. Previously, he spent more than twenty-three years as a film critic at the Times, reviewing nearly three thousand movies and writing countless profiles, essays, and lists. He has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist and is the author of Better Living Through Criticism: How to Think About Art, Pleasure, Beauty, and Truth.
