Join us for the annual launch of Two Lines and a poetry reading focusing on women in translation, both those being translated and those that do this important work.
Poets and translators Norma Cole, Maxine Chernoff, Gillian Conoley, Ani Gjika, and Lizzie Davis will read their poetry and translations. Included with your ticket is a copy of Two Lines 28 or Two Lines 27. Each issue is a diverse blend of work by women, such as poetry by Luz Pichel (tr. from Galician by Neil Anderson) and Samira Negrouche (tr. from French by Marilyn Hacker) and fiction by Natsuko Kuroda (tr. from Japanese by Angus Turvill), Ge Yan (tr. from Chinese by Jeremy Tiang), and Jokha al-Harthi (tr. from Arabic by Marilyn Booth).
