Los Angeles, CA,

In celebration of National Poetry Month and LA Arts Month in April, Metro Art Presents the Los Angeles debut of The Poet Is In, an interactive poetry exchange at Union Station inspired by a program originally conceived by Marie Howe in New York. The Poet Is In features twelve Los Angeles based poets who will collaborate with station visitors to create personalized poems. Participating poets include William Archila, Lory Bedikian, Laurel Ann Bogen, Elena Karina Byrne, Jessica Ceballos, Brendan Constantine, Nicelle Davis, Kim Dower, Liz Gonzalez, Steve Petersen, Lynne Thompson, and Cecilia Woloch. Poetry sessions will be accompanied by Colburn School students performing a range of musical styles.

The Poet Is In was conceived by Marie Howe, New York State Poet 2012-2015, MTA Arts & Design's de facto Poet in Residence.
