The Acentos Foundation

The Acentos Foundation is a Bronx, New York-based organization fostering audiences for poetry through the discussion, promotion, teaching, performance, and publication of poetry by Latino and Latina writers.


CantoMundo

Inspired by the culturally-rooted visions of Cave Canem and Kundiman, CantoMundo seeks to create a space where Latina/o poets can: 1. nurture and enhance their poetics; 2. lecture and learn about aspects of Latina/o poetics currently not being discussed by the mainstream poetry publishers and critics; and 3. network with peer poets to enrich and further disseminate Latina/o poetry.


Con Tinta

A Chicano/Latino Writers' Collective that hosts the premier off-site gathering of Chicano/Latino poets and writers at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Annual Conference. Con Tinta also bestows an annual award upon a writer or writers who have made an indelible contribution to the Chicano/Latino literary community.


The Guild Complex

A community-based literary organization in Chicago, the Guild is home of PALABRA PURA, a national monthly reading series featuring emerging Latino and Latina poets promoting their new books.


Letras Latinas

The literary program of the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Letras Latinas seeks to enhance the visibility, appreciation and study of Latino literature, with particular emphasis on emerging voices. It is home of the Andrés Montoya Poetry Prize and the forthcoming Letras Latinas/Red Hen Poetry Prize.


Latino Writers Collective (LWC)

Based in Kansas City, MO, the Latino Writers Collective seeks to raise awareness of the fine literary art being written and published in the nation's heartland.


Macondo Writers' Workshop

An association of socially-engaged writers united to advance creativity, foster generosity, and honor community.


National Hispanic Cultural Center

Located in New Mexico, the NHCC is home of the annual Latino Writers Conference.


Nuyorican Poets Café

Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural

Camino del Sol series at University of Arizona Press

Since 1994, the Camino del Sol series has been one of the premier vehicles for Latina/o literary voices. Launched under the auspices of Chiana/o luminary Ray Gonzalez, it quickly established itself in both the Latina/o community and the publishing world as it garnered awards for its outstanding writing.
